Hay and stubble blow away
Only pure things remain
Refiner’s fire removes the dross
What once was gain I now count loss
More of you and less of me
That’s what I want the world to see
You are strong when I get weak
I praise God for less of me
When my hands can hardly pray
When my words get all messed up
When my big feet get in the way
Still you choose to use me Lord
More of you and less of me
That’s what I want the world to see
You are strong when I get weak
I praise God for less of me
Refiner’s fire, refine me
Consuming fire, consume me
Until I am complete
Refiner’s fire, refine me
Consuming fire, consume me
Make me what you want me to be
When the music fades away
When all that’s left is what people say
May this sentiment remain
What they saw is you lived in me
More of you and less of me
That’s what I want the world to see
You are strong when I get weak
I praise God for less of me
