Topic: Bold (emotionally) (08/30/07)
There is a road that is less traveled
by people everyday
While some may come and rest awhile
very few will choose to stay

They'll come and taste the goodness
they'll come asking for forgiveness
But once Sundays mass has come to close
Does your life prove to be a witness?

God has special plans for us
but there's still work for us to do
and narrow is the path we walk
But God will help us through.

You see it's easy to follow along the road
Where many choose to roam
But when our time on earth is through
Will God call you His own?

Plan to walk this path with Him
each and everyday
Don't dabble with sin and pleasure
And think he doesn't see our everyway.

Is God pleased with the life you live?
Is he proud to call you His own?
And when everything is said and done
Will heaven be your home?

This poem asks some important questions!

Consider re-visiting this one again to tweak the meter a bit, and to correct a few errors in punctuation and word choice.

A couple of things, one I think the first line came from a Robert Frost poem, second I did not find the theme "bold" in the poem. The sentiment was fine but the flow was definitely off and not much punch. On an encouraging note it did ask the question that many take the answer for granted. Keep writing.

Charming poem on important questions indeed! Yes, a little work on meter will get the rhythm smoother and even more enjoyable for your readers. Thank you for this poem.
