Job 39:13-17 tells us about the ignorance of the ostrich. Verse 16 says, She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers; her labor is in vain without fear;
As I pondered these verses, I began to think of the women in our society today, who act as if their young is not theirs. Most so-called "Christian" women today, have neglected their children, and have left their homes in pursuit of a 'career'. These women Labor in Vain! They have been hardened against their young ones, they have forsaken their Godly calling, and these women seemingly do this without fear.
Do not these mothers see the damage that is caused by their negligence.
When the ostrich leaveth her eggs, and forgetteth them, her young is in danger of being crushed, or broken.(Job 39:14-15)
Christian mothers AWAKE and see your children being trodden down by the foot of man! God hath called the "Mother" to protect, shelter, embrace, and care for her young. This job belongs to the Mother, and no one else!
"O" Christian mothers be not as the ostrich which God hath deprived of her wisdom (Job 39: 17), but be ye like the virtuous women, who looketh well to the ways of her household, and her husband and children doth praise her! (Proverbs 31: 27-28) kjv

*It is past time for Mothers to get there heads out of the sand, wipe the
dirt from their eyes, and grab hold of the duty in which they have been called.*

Amen. Even as a stay at home mom I have had my head in the sand and been convicted by these verses. In sharing this most important message, however, don't forget the spirit of gentleness.

In the past, I helped in a church day care ministry. I was so very concerned about the children who were in my care. I literally became a surrogate mother to these little ones. I pray for those mothers to truly search their hearts and ask God to help them to be a keeper at home and raise their own children up to the glory of God.
Good writing. God created animals to remind us of so many things! Next time I see an ostrich...
