Topic: Purposefulness (Purpose in Life) (05/25/06)
Not much can silence the angels who were created to praise. I have to wonder, though, if the angels and all creation stood in reverent silence at this moment. It was a moment like no other.

As God created with his hands, perhaps he sang. Maybe, as He put the finishing touches on this masterpiece, He whispered to it. Could it be that as He breathed the very breath of life into this being that He spoke words of love? It is recorded that when it was finished, the Maker declared His creation complete and pronounced for all to hear that it was very good.

Her name was Eve. She was not an afterthought or mistake, but the crowning glory of God’s creation. And she was created with a purpose. Together with Adam’s strength, they completed the image of God. Although in no way inferior to Adam, Eve had a different role to fulfill. She was sent to reflect the His beauty for all the world to see. Her nurturing nature reminds of our Jehovah-Jireh, our provider.

Oh daughter of Eve, don’t you know that you also share this purpose? You were created with the same tenderness and love that Eve was. You have your own unique beauty in your heart that the world needs to see.

Don’t hide your heart behind the guilt and shame of failure. Don’t let the world or Satan deceive you into believing that you are anything but the marvelous and magnificent creation of God. You don’t feel beautiful? Let God redefine the definition of beauty.

Let the lover of your soul heal it. Listen when He tells you He loves you. Fulfill your purpose. I can only imagine what amazing tasks He will place along your path that only you can do. But no matter what else you were destined to do, you are called to become the spectacular creation that He has seen all along.

Good preach. I would have been inclined to end with one or two Bible verses to link the underlying principles in your article with the Scriptures themselves.
