And it is also known for
being very colorful.
But as for rhymin,’ that’s a horse of a different color.
Sunsets would be way boring without it.
Breakfast too would be quite sad
without its fruity brightness.
But as for rhymin’, that’s a horse of a different color.
It comes from quite a large family of many
and exotic relations.
Names such as Valencia, Temple and Mandarin
are part of its everyday pedigree.
But as for rhymin’, that’s a horse of a different color.
It can be sweet as sugar or
sour enough to curl your tongue
into the tightest, little pin curls.
But as for rhymin’, that’s a horse of a different color.
I really don’t where the line came from that says
That rhymes with….
It doesn’t rhyme with anything.
At least not in a regular dictionary.
I’m quite sure Dr. Seuss would have
Done something spectacular with it.
And thereby brightened up the
World of Reading just a bit more.
But as for rhymin’, that’s a horse of a different color.
Surely, you must know by now.
You see I was not to say its name in the title.
But now we are near the end my dears.
Let’s all say it very loud and clear –
THE COLOR ORANGE!!!
