Topic: Valentine (05/16/05)
It’s two more days till Valentine’s Day
Lots of chocolate will be coming my way
Some flowers, a card, and maybe a letter
With all this, it doesn’t get any better

But is eating and presents all there is to the day
Or could we celebrate love in a much better way
The Bible says Jesus will love me without end
That is certainly better than a present you send

Jesus says I am the Way, Truth and Life
I love you more than your husband or wife
It’s only through me that you’ll find pure love
I’m not hard to find, just look up above

When I found Jesus, I put the chocolate away
I hung on every word that He had to say
As I knelt to pray, I could feel His embrace
I felt a heavenly glow spread over my face

The best part of all is that He’s coming back for me
To take me to heaven, from my sins I’ll be free
He loves me so much, He’s preparing my home
I’ll bask in His love, never more to roam

So on Valentine’s Day, send a card or a letter
But I know now it does get much better
I want pure love from Jesus, that will never part
I’m so glad that now He lives in my heart

What a lovely poem. But - as a certified chocoholic, 'tis true: nothing is better than Jesus but I really believe that chocolate is a gift from God! So on Valentine's Day, I will always thank God for the precious, ultimate gift, His son, Jesus. And I will thank my husband for the chocolate, which must be there! Thank you for your poem. It was very nice.
