I've heard it said,that there's no such thing as a free lunch!Well,not in today's world,anyway.Everything worthwhile,
it seems, takes time, effort, and is often a struggle.Sometimes, what we've sweated for seems wasted when we don't get
what we expected, and often our expectations are overestimated anyway.
When Solomon spoke of man's toil under the sun being meaningless,in Ecclesiastes(fromChap1)he is wise to observe
that everything is indeed meaningless without God.Often,we get very little appreciation for whatever it is we do,
-it seems to go unnoticed and although we are not seeking approval or attention,it would make all the difference
to get a little aknowledgement,or,even better-a 'thankyou'!But this is life after all,and we're not in heaven yet,
so we press onwith it-some of us growing weary and worn down.
Sometimes,we might fall into the easy trap of trying to impress others, just to feel validated, and the results
are allways unfullfilling and unsatisfactory. At this point in my life,i have no other choice but to remember,
that God notices. He notices every move-thought-decision,and action, and he is concerned and very interested.
That is all we need to remember in those frustrating situations-that the most important One who matters
most in our lives, saw, and remembers all that took place. All the 'thank you's we deserved, but never recieved,
are stored up,and waiting there in His kingdom for us to claim!Whatever good work we do will bring it's just
reward,like wages(and just think-no tax!).After the work,of course,comes the need for rest-reat from our life's
toil,and heaven's rest will be eternal.That's a long-long time to relax!
