This is the conversation that played out in my mind when I tried to put myself in Elijah's shoes. The man is dealing with some serious problems and the Lord tells him to get up and have some cake (1 Kings 19:4-6). I couldn't bring myself to understand what was going on because the last thing I thought Elijah needed was a cake. Elijah had managed to flee from Jezebel and found a place where he could hide for a period of time. While there, he decides to speak to the Lord about his frustration but he is awoken and asked to eat some cake.
The Lord did have a preference for tea breaks after all. Those breaks usually come with the opportunity to much on a slice of cake, a muffin or some sort of baked product. Apparently, that was God’s way of asking you to chill because He has everything under control. Have some cake is a code for relax, I’ve got your back.
It’s a very interesting and unique way of telling us that we are safe and held on to by Him. It’s a simple way of asking us not to worry and focus on the sweetness of life which He has provided. We know this is true because everything played put very beautifully for Elijah. We can, therefore, be assured of His care, strength and provision for any situation we might be facing.
Take your mind off all the numerous problems, take a break from having to deal with them and focus on all the goodness the Lord has made available to you. Enjoy that sweetness and let the Lord handle the problems or walk to the nearest shop and literally get yourself some cake. Every day does come with its own challenges and thus we could all use a tea break. Enjoy, because He's got your back.

God understands and 'has our back'. Just a little hint. The first paragraph would be a bit
clearer with punctuation for
the conversation. Keep up the good work.
