Topic: RELATIVES (02/15/18)
Oh, how I love all of you! How I wish for your peace, health, prosperity, and happiness. I see your busy days and your endless activity, all in search of these things. I feel your walls up around me. You don’t want to hear from me. Yet, I have what you’re looking for! I have peace, health, prosperity, and happiness. I have answers to your nagging questions and calm where you have conflict. I know because I used to be like you. I want you to know the joy that I know and to experience the richness of life that I experience, I want you to have real fun, to be a part of the real party and to be blessed all the days of your life both here and throughout the life to come. Yet, you refuse the only One Who can give you the desires of your heart. I did that for a long time. In fact, I had to lose all hope before I gave my heart to Him. No one told me like I am telling you.



I’ve been to your parties. You sing and shout and raise your hands to the god of this world, who has blinded your minds to the truth and who wants only to destroy you. You allow spirits into your bodies that will kill you. I can’t be a partaker of that!



I want you to come to my party! We sing and shout and we raise our hands to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords Who is the Truth and Who gives us abundant life. We invite the Holy Spirit to live in us and He gives us overflowing joy. You accept and practice customs that are foreign to God’s Word and yet, you think I’m strange for not allowing such things as drunkenness and fornication in my home. I can’t side with God’s enemy on these or any other matters. Once you have experienced the originals, the counterfeits are not attractive to you. What do I mean? Fornication is the devil’s cheap counterfeit of a gift of God. Sex is that gift if it is within His parameters (marriage). Drunkenness? What a poor substitute for joy in the Holy Spirit! On the other hand, many things that I do allow into my home are foreign to you such as, prayer, praise, worship, and heavenly visitations.



Please open your heart before it is too late! No one will force you, not even God Himself. He loves you! He sent His Son to set you free. We have different masters and we will never have true fellowship like this. That does not mean that I am better than you. I know all about your life. I used to live it. But you don’t know about my life with Him! You have never seen it. What made this schism between us? I said “yes” to Jesus. Won’t you at least consider doing the same? Whether you do or not, I love you. However, we have no relationship other than a surface thing. Isn’t that tedious after all of this time? You serve the temporary god of this world. I serve Jesus, Who will rule and reign on this earth forever. You belong to this world. I belong to the kingdom of Heaven. The end of the god of this world is terrible. The Lord’s kingdom has no end. As our king goes, we go.



The good news is that you can defect! I did. Won’t you come over to Jesus? Just surrender. Give your heart to Him, tell Him you are sorry for trying to live your life without Him. Receive His forgiveness and thank Him for loving you so much that He died a grueling death in your place so that you could go free. Thank Him, that when He rose from His grave, He defeated all of the control that the god of this world ever had on you. Without Him we would have no choice. He made it possible for us to defeat the kingdom of darkness. Won’t you come on over? He is the only way.



Above and beyond this life, there is eternity. We all are eternal but we can choose where we will spend it. Before you is life and death. You have the opportunity to choose life. God never sent anyone to hell. He gave us the choice. He is calling you to come to Him. He made the way out! Come on!

The letter to your family clearly communicated the narrow and wide road analogy in the Bible.
