In the middle of the garden
Alone
Young and with tender leaves
A gift
For this marriage of sorrows
A future
As yet unknown
Planted in hope
Of what she did not know
Tears, so many sown in despair
‘Why O why was her heart torn in two?’
Yet there He stood
A memory of weeping willows
From childhood He followed
Wooing her
Oh how she loved Mondays
Blowing white clean sheets
Warm breezes
Scents of honeysuckle
She lifted her eyes, glanced at the tree
Her heart still torn in two
There was no fruit
The branches thin and weak
Tuesdays came and went
Bible reading
Friendships
In the Name of Jesus
Yet there He stood
In the ground
Bearing up her pain
Her heart continually torn in two
The days, months, years passed
Strangled by despair
Despising her very life
Finally, she left
Pain and sorrow
Came and went
Tears fell
Like fountains and streams
She returned
Stronger in Him
His promises secure
‘This man will not break your spirit’
Tears continued to fall
Promises revoked
Adultery was his heart
Why did she come back?
Then Monday came again
Oh how she loved
The Blowing white clean sheets
That same soft, warm, breeze of honeysuckle
Yet there He stood
The pear tree
Stronger, firmer
Little flowers of blossoms
Her delight He did see
Yet more was to come
The fruit came
In abundance it fell
This time she left for good
Is the pear tree still standing?
Does it still bear fruit for someone else?
My dear child
The pear tree was a gift from Me
For I keep My promises
I will make you strong through suffering
My marriage vows to you are constant
For I never change, neither will
I leave you
Nor forsake you
I will come for you
For you are My eternal bride
I the LORD am your Maker
I am your Husband
I am faithful
In my kindness and love towards you
You are as the blowing white clean sheets
Your sins are all tossed away
My sweet aroma is all around you
Though you are weak
It is I that was watered you, fed you,
Sustained you,
Throughout all of your troubles
For no tree can bear any fruit
Except you abide in Me
For without Me
You can do nothing

This is work to be studied.
God bless~
What does that mean?
I agree that it did take a couple times to get going in the understanding but once I was past the first few stanzas I was better. One thing that helped me was bringing in the title for understanding (that it is about a pear tree).
Good job!
It is I that was watered you.
Not It was I . . .
Your concept exceeded your ability to fulfill it.
Well, that's ok . . . because execution is a skill, a skill that can be honed.
However, conception is a gift, and your concept of The Pear Tree is gifted.
Please, please continue writing entries, to improve the execution, because your concepts, your ideas, your vision can gift us all.
