What are the chances of God's love running out on us? I am not a gambler, nor a big risk taker. But I am willing to lay odds that the chances of God's love running out on us are slim to none.
“Your love never fails
It never gives up.
Never runs out on me.” (One Thing Remains by Jesus Culture)
We could sing the words of this song over and over from now through all eternity and it would still be true. One of my favorite passages in the Bible is found in Romans 8: 38-39, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NKJV). If somehow we could grab hold of the truth that NOTHING can ever separate us from God's love! How different would our lives be?
God's love is stronger than anything. There is no trial we go through that will take God's love from us. We cannot sin so badly as to keep God from loving us. The Bible tells us that He has taken our sins and buried them in the depths of the sea. Micah 7:19B “You will cast all our sin into the depths of the sea.” (NKJV)
He loves us unconditionally. He does not say He will love us when we are good, or only when we are in church. God loves us always, all the time. He does not love our sin but He does love us.
When my daughter was around 7 years old she suddenly announced to me that she thought that God did not love her anymore. When I asked her why she would think something like that, she said it was because she had been praying for something for a very long time and God had not answered that prayer. It was something she wanted very badly. As I looked into that sweet, innocent little face, seeking answers, I prayed for wisdom to answer. God gave me the words to answer in a way that she seemed to understand. (God later on did answer her prayer.) Often as adults we also wonder at times if God loves us anymore.
We must understand that God's love will never leave us because He has demonstrated it in such a way so there should be no doubt. (Romans 5:8) “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
He loves us in spite of our selfishness and disobedience. He showers us with His grace that we do not deserve. This is a love that is beyond our human comprehension. He loves us so much that He gave His only son, perfect and without sin, to die for us. He took our sin and bore it on His body “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NKJV) He loves us so much He was willing to die for us. We cannot make His love go away. His love will hold us forever. Hebrews 6:19A says “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast....”
He loves us with a never ending love, a bond which can never be broken. Just like the words of the song say, “God's love never fails, it never gives up. Never runs out on me.”
God's love reaches all the way to the cross. It conquered death, hell and the grave! In a time of uncertainty it is the one thing we can be certain of. So what are the chances of God's love running out on us? That will most likely happen when Hell freezes over, when it rains cats and dogs or when pigs fly!

Nicely done.
God bless~
God loved us first so that we would love him.
He tests us when he says, "If you love me, keep my commandments".
To prove God's love, he gave us Jesus. To prove our love, we keep his commandments.
God is worth writing about. Keep writing.
God bless~
