I’ve never thought I had an immaculate voice but I love to sing. The expression of the heart through singing is freeing. Recently I questioned God’s acceptance and response to my worship. I knew my voice was not beautiful but I wanted to know if it pleased God. Not long after that, I had a dream that I was worshipping God through song. While I sang, I saw God sitting on His throne with a wonderful, heart stopping smile on His face. He didn’t speak but I heard His thoughts. ‘That’s my daughter. I love to hear her sing’. When I stopped singing, His smile left and He bent over in anticipation of hearing me continue my song. I woke up with the revelation that God loves my singing. Not because I sound like an angel but because I’m His daughter and He desires to hear my voice. Singing is a way to communicate to my Father and He desires to hear my heart.
