Yet can be distinctly savored,
Filling every need in you,
Refreshing as a morning dew.
There is no tartness to it,
No need to bite or chew it.
Sensations warming in and out,
Come from heaven, no doubt.
You’ll never have to eat it,
Just let your tongue greet it.
Melting with a gentle thrill,
Taken at its very will.
Never mind what others tell you.
Tongues of doubt may consume,
Flavors of life all their own,
Turning taste buds into stone.
This will feed your one desire,
Set your life and soul on fire,
Lift your heart when you are down,
Bring your spirits back around.
You will never have to worry,
About cooking or stirring.
Just take it from an open book,
Directions are sometimes overlooked.
Often times we forget this wonder,
When we suffer from our hunger.
Does this food sound kind of odd?
It is the sumptuous word of God!

And the message was great.
I thought some of your lines were off a bit on the rhythm and consume and you felt like a forced rhyme.
But even with those tiny exceptions you did a beautiful job with it. I wanted to keep reading as it soothed my soul. And poetry is one of those things that can be tweaked forever. You did a nice job with it.
