If you are thinking of suicide
Please don’t let it slide
You need to get help right away
Take a risk and pray
When everyone leaves your side
And you just want to hide
If you think drugs are the way
Everyday tell yourself “not today”

If you think walking away from God is cool
Then think again because you will be a fool
God knows what you are thinking
Even when you are drinking
The world can be cruel
Even when you are in school
Do you feel like all you’re doing is sinking
While everyone else think they’re having fun drinking

No matter how bad
Or how mad
You are
Forget the bar
Try not to be sad
And take a chance to be glad
God keeps all your tears in a jar
He accepts you as you are

Find someone to help you
Especially when you feel blue
Take a risk and meet God’s Son
Because you will be the one who won
He will make your life new
And you’ll be blessed because you will be renewed.

This is beautiful. I think many people will think you are speaking directly to them. I also wonder if God has rescued you or someone close from some of these exact pitfalls, because you do such an outstanding job of sharing the pain. Thanks for sharing.

Good job being on target with the theme. This is a powerful message on a subject quite relevant. It reads like a contemporary song.
