Someone’s achievement means a distinct thing to him/her. We obtain different levels of achievements. God gave all of us special skills. It’s how we apply them is if we are going to achieve anything with them or not. Here is what I mean:
One person wins the Nobel Prize Award, while another person wrote one beautiful poem that was recognized as special. There was an achievement made in both writings. The individual writer was thankful for the fulfillment of their hard work and effort. God chose certain people in the world to strive to be writers and authors in their lifetime.
One person crochets beautiful clothes, while another has learned how to crochet a straight line. These are both achievements, just at different levels. Not everyone was blessed with the skill to crochet at all.
One person received the Bowlers Hall of Fame Award, and another was so excited that he finally beat a score of one hundred. These are different levels of achievements, but they are also just as important to each person. They both enjoy the sport that takes a certain skill, and gives them the opportunity to strive to win.
Achievements are the same for a beginner as for a professional. A new swimmer learned how to float. An advanced swimmer achieved her dream by swimming the English Channel. Both persons worked hard at their level. Some people might not think the first feat was an achievement, but it surely was for the beginner.
What we strive for and obtain is our achievement. Working hard toward something and achieving it is a wonderful thrill. Every achievement is great when it is in our own life: but it is also wonderful to feel the same excitement for someone else when they achieve their goal. For example, when a child learns how to read their first sentence, and a blind person learns how to read Braille for the first time. They each strove for their achievement.
If people did not think they could achieve their goal, they probably would not think it would be worth striving for; and there would be no achievement in their life. Thank God for our talents and the drive to strive.
Skills are different for every person. Longings and ideas are given to us in our lives to make us have goals to strive for. It will take some people longer than others to achieve their goals, and it always is worth striving for their dreams. Have faith that achievements are possible. As long as we work hard at something, we will always have an achievement ahead.
2Peter 4:7(NKJV)—I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
