At a point or more in our lives, we’ve all been afraid. Ok, let me not assume. I have been afraid many times at different stages of my life.
At age 5, I was afraid of the dark which started after I snuck up behind the couch to watch a horror movie at my cousin’s house. At 12, I became I afraid of spiders when my brother dropped one into my dress. This was followed by fear for injections when I got a bad case of flu. And since, I have been afraid of major High ways, Examinations that I am not prepare for and a lot more that I don’t want to bore you with.
I know that God has not given us the spirit of fear but the spirit of power, of love and of self discipline (2 Tim 1:7) NIV but I have come to discover that beyond standing in front of the mirror and reciting Scriptures, I have to confront my fears in order to overcome them.
Most times, what I fear the most seem to reoccur often but I have come to know that once you confront your fears holding on to the thin rope of Faith, you will conquer. And when you do, you’ll see that that challenge no longer becomes an issue. In life, our areas of fears are most times areas that may take us to our next level in life if only we can step out in Faith.
That Business you’ve always dreamed of may be lucrative but you may never enter into that desired placed of prosperity until you overcome the fear of risks. That passion of yours may actually be worthwhile but you may never enter into that place of fulfillment if you don’t conquer the fear of failure. That vision of a beautiful future may never be if you don't deal with the fear of the past.
A pastor friend of mine once said to me (and I tend to agree) that though God has not given us the spirit of fear, fear itself is not an enemy but a friend. A friend who would point to you just what you need to step over to get to that place you have always been praying for. He said, “Don’t fear ‘fear’. Let it show you what you need to conquer, let it show you where you need more grace, let it push you into more faith in God and let that faith make you act”.
“And if you do, He said, you will see that fear is our mutual friend not an enemy”

You may want to put Bible verses in italics. Also make sure you proofread, proofread abd proofread. You had a few tiby errors. For ex: you wrote major High ways and it should be major highways. And: not prepare for should be not prepared for. Also remember to write out numbers under ten.
I really like how you tackled the subject of fear. It is something everyone can relate to and your advise was spot on. It's easy to let my fear control me, but then I would miss out on so many wonderful things. Thanks for the wonderful message.
