The JESUS Rain

“Rain, Rain Go Away!” screamed the school children as they sat staring out their classroom window realizing there would be no outdoor recess. “Where is the rain?” asked the frustrated farmer as he gazed over His dry, parched fields. “ We’ve had too much rain.” stated the concerned homeowner who has built his home along a swollen creek-turned river.

Above are just a few human reactions to rain. Rain can be something tolerated, desired and despised. There was someone else who experienced and still experiences these reactions today. Who am I speaking of? Jesus Christ. Have you heard of JESUS Rain?

Like the restless school children who despised the rain that took away from their playtime, There was many a false prophet who despised Christ and the message of Hope that the JESUS Rain brings.

There has been many who have tolerated Christians sharing Jesus’ love with them, but who never accept or experience the refreshment the JESUS Rain provides.

What about that struggling Christian desiring the outpouring of His Spirit the JESUS rain gives. It's that same spirit that directs and fills them with Christ’s overwhelming love.

So when you get your umbrella out or turn the car wipers on to deflect the downpour of rain, think about the JESUS rain. The Rain that is full of HOPE, Brings REFRESHMENT and fills you with Christ’s Love. It’s for your enjoyment and for you to share.

Let the JESUS rain pour over you every day, hour and moment.

Nicely done. I'd have liked to have seen an example of someone who tolerates rain--you had the despiser and the desirer, but not the tolerator.

I agree, those who tolerate rain..Jesus rain--I don't think they are on the complaining end--Nice story, lovely reading. God bless ya, littlelight

Have heard this term before "Jesus Rain" and I think you caputured a great deal of the meaning. I agree with others above; however, rather than a devotion, perhaps an insert to a church bulletin or even a track.
