“Yeah, Red-jacketed Toy Soldier, I’m looking at it, and lovin’ the warmth,” answered White Sparkly Snowman.
“Don’t you just love this time of year, when we’re back together in our box with fresh cushiony stuff all around us and we can enjoy the sunbeam?” Red-jacketed Toy Soldier asked.
“Oh, you said it, this is the life!” exclaimed White Sparkly Snowman.
“What is wrong with you crazy clowns?” Normal Clown demanded in a panic. “This is not the life!”
“Ha,” with a sharp intake of breath White Sparkly Snowman jumped inside of his tight wrapping. “I’m not a Clown, I’m White Sparkly Snowman.
“Who are you and what are you doing inside Winter Decoration Box? Do you live here now?” Red-jacketed Toy Soldier asked.
“Of course not, how could anybody live here? This is not life, this is a holding place, a prison,” Normal Clown said.
“It is not - it’s Winter Decoration Box. This is where we live and enjoy the eleven and a half minutes of sunbeam,” pleaded White Sparkly Snowman.
“Help me find a way out of here, I don’t belong in this place, I belong out there!” Normal Clown pointed to the hole from whence the sunbeam disappeared.
“Hah! You live out there? We get out there for a couple of months each year. Then we’re put back in our box where we can be close to everything in our world. This is where we belong and where we like to be,” Red-jacketed Toy Soldier explained. “The sooner you accept it the sooner you’ll fit it.”

“Hey Cheryl, where’d you put the clown?” John asked.
“I packed it in one of the boxes in the attic, why?” Cheryl asked.
“Oh, just because I always kept it out. My mom gave it to me when I was little,” John explained.
“Oh, I just thought it was old and musty-looking. Now that we’re setting up our own home, we have so many nicer looking things,” Cheryl reasoned.
“Well, ok, sure, we have a nice place here and each other, I guess the old clown is perfectly fine in the attic,” John agreed. “I’m tired, how about we get some sleep?”
“Sure, Sweetie, we can set up more tomorrow.” Cheryl was agreeable.

John stretched and yawned as he helped his new wife make coffee. “Hey, Hon, I had the craziest dream last night.”
“Yeah? Tell me all about it?” Cheryl squeezed his hand affectionately.
“Well, I dreamed that my clown walked in while we were talking about our life here and he said we were crazy,” John began.
“What?” Cheryl was feeling less affectionate.
“Yeah, he said this isn’t real life, this is just a holding place, there’s someplace out there that’s even better.” John pointed outside. “And when I looked at him, he wasn’t my musty old clown at all, he was bright white all over! And he said that he came so that we might have real life and have it more abundantly. Weird, huh? But it seems like I heard those words somewhere else before.” John finished.
Cheryl smacked the newspaper down on the table in front of John as she replied to him. “Oh, John, ok, ok! I’ll get your clown out again. Honestly, you have the weirdest dreams.
