Mankind was trying and failing over and over again to live by God’s laws.
The prophets gave a glimpse of God’s plan to open up a way for men to spend eternity with our sinless God, Who could not look upon sin. Everything seemed so hopeless as men tried desperately to please God and felt nothing but despair. They realized they were incapable of being sinless on their own.
Then, in Isaiah 61, Isaiah gives a glimpse of what God had in store, and in Micah chapter 5:2, we are told exactly where Jesus would be born, and that He existed from ancient times. These prophesy’s existed long before the perfect time of Christ’s birth.
When the prophesy was fulfilled, it must have been a thrill for those present, to know that this had happened exactly as God had said through the prophets. At that moment, all mankind had a direct communication with God, in the birth of the God man, Jesus Christ.
There has never been a breakdown in God’s communication with man that was not created by man himself, who refused to listen to the marvels of God, ignoring the greatest gift ever given, and the many facts preceding His birth, that solidify all of God’s Word. Jesus Christ has become the intercessor between God and man, and when Jesus re-entered heaven, He sent His Holy Spirit to indwell all who will believe in Him.
As we sing, “Oh Little Town of Bethlehem, “ and many other dear songs of the remembrance of Christ’s birth , let us remember the Scripture which foretold His birth, and also, the great sacrifice He made to leave heaven, live as a man, (yet without sin) and give His very life blood on the cross as a remission for our sin. This Christmas, don’t live in communication breakdown, but open your heart to God and His provision for us.

I was also then reminded that He would stop at nothing and go to any length to bring us back into His family. For me, that's the message of Christmas and that is the message you communicated quite well in your article.
