She told me everything she’s done.
How she had nowhere else to turn.
She needed a friend and prayer.
Trust in the Lord, is what I told her.
Never forget that His love is there.
Be still and listen to His teaching.
Life is worth living; trust and believe.
“I don’t have any faith left,” she said.
“How can I believe when I feel hopeless?
Heartache and pain is all I can feel.
Struggles and failures is all I’ve known.”

She continued for an hour as I listened.
I kept encouraging her over and over.
I was telling her; all will soon be okay.
I’m just not sure how much she heard.

Surprised, she said “okay she would.”
We giggled, as she said “goodbye.”
I told her I keep her in my prayers.
Then she said, “I will trust in the Lord.”
She trusted in the Lord that day.
She never forgot that He loved her.
Anxiously, she listened to His teaching
Trusting in the Lord wasn’t hard anymore.
Faith is believing, in the things we can’t see.
Hearing is obeying the commands He brings to you.
Loving is knowing that God will always be there.
These are the truths we need to believe.
Trusting in the Lord, is what we needed to do.
Love, is knowing He died for you and me.
Be still and listen, as He teaches you today.
Life is worth living; just trust and believe.
