The black knight consumed the shadows as the purple mist hid the sleeping earth from the eye’s sight. His presence was pervasive and seemed to call the darkness. Things hidden in the sunlight are free to walk in the night.
She stepped into the silver moonlight, hair glistening like new fallen snow. Her eyes, lit with the eerie light, flit across the silent meadow. The scent from invisible flowers filled the air as the huntress waited, watched, catching every sound. She could feel him in the depths of her soul.
She caught his smell in the wind and smiled. A few moments longer and he would be hers.
A cloud passed over the moon hiding its’ face from the earth and all of its inhabitants. The shroud of darkness was finally complete.
A whisper of breath, a rush of wind and he was before her but the huntress was not undone.
“I’ve been waiting.” She said low, audible to his ears only.
His reply was barely a whisper. “And now I’m here.”

I wanted to know more, who was the knight? The huntress?
And why was she stalking him?
Loved the writing though! Your huntress completly captured me!
