This is an interesting story but I was a bit confused about who died. It might have been better in a story form instead of a poem and you could have told us more to fill in details.

What a story! Having worked with people who have had head injuries, I understand the poignancy of lost memories.

I like the flow of this and the bits of humor here and there, but I'm confused about who died. There's talent in you, so keep writing.

My poem The Purple Dress is based on true events, after a major head trauma occurs,
In some rare instances amnesia can happen, even though the person does not recognize themselves or people around them, it has been show, that colors, clothing, aromas and alike could bring them out of this state, also, as in this case, drug induced comas have been shown to be a way of rebooting the mind, upon awaking…And the needle the his wife gave him placed him again back into a coma, the rushing, red lights and alike are his memories of the accident and other factors are from the injury, and “bad dream” state, like you tend to have when sick.
