Topic: Red (10/01/09)
My child, my little "red". He was born in October of 1984. I was just 24. He had eyes that seems like hearts and we had a bond between us, never to be apart. His head was red, the shape of a perfect ball, his whisps of red hair stretching to surround it all. I took onw look at this child of mine and gave the Lord thanks for Him to be so kind, to allow me to be the mother of little "red" and dream big dreams for the years ahead. We grew up together, me learning to be a mom, and Red just seemed to always just tag along. Over the years his alias became, Red Dog or just Red especially at the ball games. His life was filled with such overwhelming joy, as was mine even after his wasn't a boy. This little "red" boy turned into a man and if I could rewind our lives I'd do it all again.

I do not see that little boy or man, he has chosen that for himself for now, I still love that little "red" guy of mine, even when he has his own child and sees, what a precious gift form God it will be.

I miss you Son and I will always Love you.

I have a little 3 month old "red"...this was a touching reminder to treasure each precious moment with him...thank you! :)

This would have been real nice in poetry form. A few misspellings here and there but overall good.

I agree that changing this piece into poetry form would be a perfect fit. It was fun to read.

Keep on writing and improving. The writing challenge is a great place to do this. :)

So tender and affectionate, and a little bit sad.
