When I was six years old reading a book, I made up stories to the illustrations before I learned to read. I often read books by Dr. Suess. A year later when I learned to read I read “Green Eggs and Ham.” I liked that book.
When I was older I drew pictures at school during my spare time. I used pencil crayons, and pastels. When I was in grade one, I painted pictures, and I used a clipboard.
I drew pictures at home as well. I drew people, trees, flowers, houses, coffee cups and grass. I never drew pictures of cars or buildings. During Halloween I drew pumpkins.
Until I became 12 years old, I loved going up and down on the swing. We had one in our backyard. I also went to the park. I spent about 2 hours swinging, and thinking about stuff.
During recess at school, I played jump rope with the other girls at school. I enjoyed it.
When I was in grade seven, I wrote stories about the students in my class. I wrote about my class and attending a field trip, and who ended up being left behind. I recorded the story on the cassette.
I had a joy of being creative, and I as an adult, I still am.
