"Joe, what are going to do with your time next year when you retire?" asked Daryl.
Joe looked up and Daryl and smiled, "Well, first the Lord has blessed me with enough money in my IRA, so I don't need to worry about not having an income. Second he has blessed me with good health."
Daryl shook his head in agreement.
"I feel the Lord is calling me to short term missions. I have always been interested in Cuba," as Joe grinned.
"Cuba! Why Cuba?" as Daryl had a surprised look on his face.
"Cuba has always fascinated me, because it is a Communist country."
"Wow that is interesting!" as Daryl smiled.
"Like In many other Communist countries the church is kind of oppressed. There are churches, but people don't have the same freedoms like they do here," as Joe gave a thoughtful answer.
"I hope that when I get your age that I can have the money and health to be able to do what you want to do. I just don't have the time, and I am doing everything I can do to just pay my bills right now," said Daryl.
"What you need to do is pray and trusts the Lord. Maybe some day when you get to be my age the Lord will open the door for you to do mission work. I have always had the heart to spend my retirement years doing mission work. There was a time in my life I didn't think it would be possible. All things are possible with the Lords help, you just got to pray," said Joe.
Daryl smiled as a peaceful feeling came him realized that was suppose to be a casual lunch turned into a lesson about prayer.
The two men prayed and went on there way.
