Haven of Retreat
Oh what a delight
It is so sweet
To take wings of flight
It is my shelter in the time of storm
A haven for me away from the norm
My refuge in times of trouble
A sanctuary amid the stubble.
My Haven of Rest
In Christ nothing molests
Safe under His wings
To Him I cling.
It includes a quiet place
Big soft pillows that greet
A cup of Chai - what a treat!
All in my warm little space.
There in my den
Surrounded by books and Chopin
The world passes by
So safe am I and satisfied.
Soft music plays
This is my stairway
To another place
In which I interface.
I find such utter joy
When I employ
Books, music and silence
Upon my heart it commences.
That is why my hideaway is so sweet
It is so complete.
It is my safe and quiet place
Of which I dearly embrace.
My Quiet Retreat!
