Their conversation although it spread over various topics ranging from Obama in politics to the market price of potatoes, generally centered on one particular theme – God. Patriarchs or Pharaohs, God is the Ultimate. Anything and everything made John wonder about the wisdom revealed by the Maker through His creation.
Once as they kept walking through a garden, the following dialogue developed.
“Can you hear that buzzing sound?” John queried.
“It’s awesome!” Joe responded.
They were in the vicinity of a honeycomb. Hundreds of bees were busy flying from on flower to another while hundred others were buzzing around the honeycomb.
“Can you see the manifestation of God’s wisdom and knowledge in that insignificant insect?”
“Do you mean the honeybee?”
“Exactly! I can see it carrying priceless pearls like those that fell from the mouth of King Solomon. Now tell me if these words rhyme. Praise is like a song that a honeybee sings. Mind you it also has a sting and above all it has lovely little wings.”
“Are you aspiring to be another Charles Dickens?”
“God has made me unique. What if it’s His will that I receive the next Booker Prize? Can you obstruct that?”
“Surely God has given me a best friend in you. I am anxious to witness that day.”
Thus far you have tasted a slice from many such delicious cakes of conversations they have had.
One day John, Joe and their friends visited the Niagara Falls.
A team from India, was looking with eyes wide open whilst the water splashed after having traveled quite a long distant.
Crystal clear water kept cascading the space between sky and earth controlled at the command of the Creator. Sun struggled to drive away the chillness but could not. Therefore their battle seemed to delight souls looking at them with excitement like that of a cheering squad enthusing two tough boxers. On the other hand, droplets of water shone like diamonds when kissed by the rays emanating from the sun. Indeed it echoed the perfect blend of harmony – reconciliation scene of a husband and a wife following a misunderstanding.
Everyone sensed something supernatural. Strange silence surrounding the sound of the waterfalls spoke secrets of the Savior. Some sort of reverence coupled with indescribable mixed feelings filled the air. An awesome presence of the Omnipotent engulfed everyone focused on that breath-taking scenery making one and all sing praises of Him. (Psalm 150:6)
“Isn’t Niagara Falls the handiwork of the Master Designer?’
“I am reminded of Moses striking the rock.”
A recap of quenching the thirst of a murmuring lot!
“The rock here jogs my memory of Jesus Christ – the Rock of our salvation.” Hardly did these words fall from the mouth of John when they overheard the guide explaining to the tourists.
“You are privileged to stand before one of the biggest falls in the world called Niagara. Five lakes namely Michigan, Huron, Superior, Ontario and Erie feed this waterfall perpetually and perennially. Therefore it can never go dry at all.”
“Well Joe, being a resident of Canada I have often visited this place. Yet, today I am enlightened about God’s flow of life into me. I could feel a fountain of water springing up within me into everlasting life. Like the five lakes, when the blood that flowed from the five wounds (head, two hands, legs, side pierced by a spear) of Jesus Christ surges into us, our lives also can never be dry. We will arise and shine for His glory. Sparkling like the Niagara Falls, we are marked for eternity.” John bubbled with joy.
“The scene of Jesus Christ – Giver of living waters, meeting the Samaritan woman unfolds before me.”
“I am reminded of the verse that we will be a well-watered garden.” Joe doubled their share of happiness.
“All these years I have not thanked God for blessing our land with such a remarkable landmark.”
“Truly! This grace of God cannot be taken for granted. It symbolizes His presence in this land.”
“God loved our country even while creating and therefore He has placed this piece of His work here to remind us of His everlasting mercy and grace now and forever.”
“God bless the land of Canada like Canaan and the people therein as His own.”
“Amen!”

I got somewhat lost in the dialogue around the middle there; I didn't know who was talking to whom.
Otherwise, I enjoyed this.
