Headlines screaming with muffled voices of human beings who are not allowed to be clothed, fed, loved, and cherished invade my senses everyday. This saddens me. God knit us together in our mother’s wombs, stamping us with a purpose and sending us off with a kiss on the cheek and whispers of love. God, in all His goodness, wants us to live. Nevertheless, much like the USA has lines defining its purpose, God, too, gave us boundaries, and the boundaries in turn give us the freedom to live without fear of being. Our forefathers knew this. They fought for this. They died for this. Many people want to strip human kind of boundaries, allowing themselves to follow their feelings, whether it is rage, obsession, or simply pure selfish gratification. Ask yourselves what would happen if the borders of the USA were erased and the world was allowed to come in without recognition or respect of who we are as a country. Our freedom to be would be erased. God has blessed the USA and He expects us to be good stewards of His blessings.
