Far below the watching crowds, one lone man stood between the pews, facing the floor. He was squirming uncomfortably, fidgeting with both the bulletin and his very life. A friend had invited him to this event but now he stood here alone and listened to the preacher speak about life and death, and something called salvation. He felt as if he was caught in the middle, his life a broken mess and confusion on all sides. The promises and encouragement of the pastor were calling to him, but other voices seemed to draw to him, to keep him away.
Suddenly he made a decision. He slowly stepped out from his pew, and started for the altar. He felt a presence and a tug on his heart like never before, and he could almost hear crowds of angels cheering somewhere in another world as he went forward to accept the Lord.

It got slightly confusing after the first paragraph, but a second read cleared it up.
Good way to show the struggle between angels and demons!
