The cheers of the crowd rejoiced
And all praised His name.
He was exalted.
As He sat among,
The questions of the crowd ensued
And they’d come in His name.
He was honored.
As He prayed isolated,
The noise of the crowd drew near
And they asked His name.
He was arrested.
As He stood before,
The shouts of the crowd condemned
And they screamed His name.
He was sentenced.
As He endured amidst,
The jeers of the crowd mocked
And they scorned His name.
He was beaten.
As He walked through,
The sounds of the crowd roared
And they hollered His name.
He was ridiculed.
As He hung alone,
The taunts of the crowd echoed
And they laughed at His name.
He was defamed.
As He looked above,
The hush of the crowd fell
And they recognized His name.
He was dead…
As He entered in,
The applause of heaven rang…
And all will praise His name.
He will reign.
