I got to work about 7:10 am and I was sitting in my car listening to the news. I had been taking the Metrolink (light rail train) to get to work. I grabbed my bag with my CD's and my bible. I started to
look for my plastic bag that had my frozen sandwich. I noticed it was gone so I got out of my car and looked behind the seat. It was not there. I went to look over on the passenger side of the car, there
was no lunch. bag. I came to the realization that I had left my lunch on the Metrolink.
I decided to go into the building and wait for my co-workers, because I didn't have a key for our office.
I don't like making mistakes. In the past I would beat myself up and be mad for the rest of the day. I decided to do something different. I decided to pray about it.
"Dear Lord, please help me to not beat myself up. Help me to not to listen to Satan's lie," I prayed.
When Jesus was in the desert for 40 days Satan tried to tempt him. Jesus would speak back to Satan and told him to get lost. That is what I decided to do. I decided to bind satin and tell him that I am
not going to listen to his lies.
Tracy showed up, and let me in, and I went to work. I was praying while I was working, I still had this un-easy feeling in my spirit. I had a boom box at my work station. I tried to play a few of my CD's,
the CD player, but would not read my CD's. I tried another CD and I finally got it to play. I decided to keep on praying.
I took a break and got some candy, that was on top of a file cabinet, that was in the hallway. Tracy asked me how I was doing, she noticed that I was sad. She blessed me when she told me that she did
not like to see me sad.
I went back to work and just kept praying while I was working. When I was in grade school I had learning disabilities. I also was picked on and told I was stupid. The Lord showed me the following
verse. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well, Psalm 139:14.
This verse shows me that I am wonderfully made in spite my learning disabilities. I also need to remember that I am not the only person that makes mistakes like this.
Around noon I started to feel better. This was a victory, because I did not let satin get me mad. I praise God for how he helped me through this day. I could have handed this situation badly. Thank God I
did not leave my bag with my CD's and bible on the Metrolink.
Satan did not steal kill and destroy me today, for that I am grateful.
