In the midst of early church, the word Christian was been taken out or derived from through their behaviors and characters that portray who they are, that similar to their mentor {Christ}. Christian means Christ carbon copy in relating with mankind. For some understanding about this fact, when an object was placed at rest without a force attached to it, to set it on a motion, it will surely remains stagnant. But the early Christian put everything they have learnt during the time of Christ into action and they receive the baptism of Holy Spirit as a living proof and make them the first witness after the death of Christ.
Taking a look at it, step by step to think on how we the next generation of our being put the faith into motion or action. I remembered when I was in high school, as example of how some of the youth and Christian position there believe.
I thought going to Church on Sunday service was all that it takes to become or call a Christian and no other activities that follow and no principles of give and take, what do I mean by saying give and take, simply by given him my heart to received the baptism of Holy Spirit. And I could not confidently relate with people around me, to share my faith with them because I don’t understand the word Christian, so I keep searching for the answer before I finally got one. That Christian means, total subjection to the will and commands of God through Christ to re-formed, re-shaped, refined , re-mode and to pull down the old garment of self-centeredness, self-thought, and to willingly follow him.
When I got this answers, I found out that I didn’t give all to him and that was the reason while I couldn’t share my faith with boldness with people around me. My heart was broken with sober reflections to see the baptism of the Holy Spirit to put the faith in me at work
The apostles allowed the Holy Spirit fall upon them because they empty their mortal feelings and do away with thought of self-control and make a room for the Spirit of God to bring heaven closer to them and when people saw how the heavenly father glorified himself through his beloved son Jesus Christ and the people of Antioch begins to wonder that they must be a Christian because the faith is at work
Peter was a man that was fearful and lack of courage plus lack of confident is his faith but when he allowed to be baptized with Holy Spirit, he could boldly speak with courage and thousands of souls were crying to know more about who Christ was. That is wonderful faith at work, when we also allow our heart to be free from fears of unknown that is not of God, we can be baptized with the same Spirit that came on Apostle Peter because we are the next Apostle to our generation now.
"Christian baptism is the confession of our faith to the gentile world to see what we believed in us that others may hook up to."
