Swim side by side.
It seems like though,
They might need a guide.
A miscalculation,
A wrong turn, a slip,
Have led these two whales
On an off-course trip.
A Mom and her offspring
Wanting to go,
Up to Alaska
Where others they know.
But headed towards trouble
And in fresh water streams;
The attention these whales are attracting,
A lot of spectator scenes.
The boats get to close,
They just want to see;
These whales who are lost
But injured now they be.
Play some whale songs
And maybe they'll turn
And head back to salt water.
It's becoming a concern.
Listen, we're trying
To send you on course.
Marine biologists, vets,
A knowledgeable source.
Sacramento is not where
You want to visit.
Schwarzenegger, the Gov.
Cannot take the credit.
For leading you back
To the oceans so deep.
Your playground, your sanctuary;
Out there you should keep...
Following your instincts
That God did design.
Great creatures, you awe us.
Swim back please, be fine!
We think about these whales
And confused they were.
Taking a wrong course;
A bad choice for sure.
The whales though, had support
From humans and resources
To calculate and configure
To get them on right courses.
Sometimes as Christians,
We are faced with many choices.
And in our head we may hear
Several confusing voices.
“Oh, go ahead and try it.
It can’t really hurt you.
Indulge this one last time;
You’ll be cool with your crew.”
But that other voice says,
“Stop and remember!
You’ve decided to follow Christ.”
And you feel the pressure.
If you take that wrong way
You’ll find yourself in strife.
Not tasting the salt
Which brought seasoning into your life.
But just like our whales,
You’ll have support to get you back.
The Holy Spirit will guide you.
And make you stronger, that’s a fact!
And the next time you are faced
With confusion and the devil’s ploy,
Call on your Lord,
Your source of Great Joy!
For He is your Captain;
Safe passage through your journey.
The Body of Christ, your shipmates;
Your choices will not seem so blurry.

A few bumps in meter, and a few forced rhymes, but easy to fix.
I was so relieved when Delta and Dawn made it to the ocean!
