While His ways I often reject, they are well within my sight.
For I know that though I’m falling, I must rise and face the day;
From down here I hear Him calling, telling me I’ll be okay.
When I’m in my darkest hour, that’s when I need Him the most;
He reminds me of His power, He’s alive not just a ghost.
From above He sees so clearly, what direction I should take;
And with each step he is near me, even when I make mistakes.
Sometimes life can seem so lonely, when the valley’s all I’ve known;
But my being down here only, makes me miss my mountain home.
When I finally reach heaven, when I find my resting place;
I’ll be glad I never gave in, and I’ll feel my Lord’s embrace.
From up high I’ll have a clear view, of how far I had to climb;
I’ll learn everything I must do, if I fall back down next time.
Though I pray it never happens, that I stay upon the Hills;
Now I know it all depends, on what my Lord and Savior wills.
