These days I’m finding it harder and harder to watch TV and listen to the radio. One day on my way to work I was running a little late, and it seemed like I was getting no where fast. I just wanted some nice music to listen to before the madness of the day began. But the only thing on the radio that day was bad news and morning shows that fill your head with all they’re ratings nonsense. All I wanted was a little calmness to start my day.
So I prayed, Lord please jump start my day. I don’t know about your vehicle but in my truck when I want to scan the radio, there is a seek button. It doesn’t say find, look for, or search, it says seek. So I pressed it, and when it stopped, it landed on 96.7, which is K-Love a new Christian station in our area. It’s so awesome now to be able to chillax with the Lord on my way to work and also be able to hear and feel the praises of God being sung and shared over the air waves.
Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. And when I asked it became available to me, and when I was seeking I found what I was looking for, and when I knocked the door swung open.” So ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, and when the door opens, please step in.
I have to be honest though that this word bothers me a little. Chillax, another clever word to make our journey on the expressway of shortcuts seem a little quicker. Another clever way so that we can say one word in stead of two. Another clever way to be clever. Another clever way for people to talk to each other. Another clever way for us to take the easy way out.
It’s another clever way for us to display our cleverness on the mantle next to our brainiac trophy that stands right below our 4’x4’ selfie in the shiny gold leaf frame. Right now it may seem like you’re friends are looking up at you. But just remember that your cleverness is just inches from the flames that are burning below you in the fireplace. Also remember that stop, drop, and roll doesn’t work in hell. Clever, but true.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2. I don’t own a cell phone and I don’t wear a watch. God gets me in touch with the people I need to talk to and He gets me there on time. You can all me old fashioned. You can say that I’m technically challenged. You can even call me a caveman, but I always try to do what Gods wants me to do, and do it on His watch and by His watch. “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” – James 1:22
We should stop trying to serve others with our clever ways and seek Gods wisdom and guidance. We should start serving others with our hearts and our hands and feet will follow, and so will others. “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” - Proverbs 11:25.
Tonight while I’m home chillax’n with the Lord, I will pray that we can all come together and be clever about how we can bring Jesus to those who don’t know Him. Show our cleverness on how we should love one another. Be clever about how we serve others so they may have some peace. And to be clever together so we can get the task at hand done.

I especially enjoyed the last paragraph which summed it up perfectly.
Nicely done.
God bless~
You also were "irritated" by the word and its use. Good for you, twice.
I felt you did well in expressing your feelings about the word. We don't always have to use the latest and greatest new word in the dictionary to express ourselves correctly.
Keep expressing yourself and be yourself.
