What is the golden moment that turns our eyes to God’s constant, wonderful presence in our lives?
Is it the springtime rebirth of grass and flowers fighting to break through the frozen ground to bring color back to a cold slumbering world?
Is it the wide blue sky of summer with floating white clouds and excited screams of children freed from the exaggerated bondage of classrooms and text books?
Is it the changing of green leaves into red, yellow and orange piles of fun being wildly scattered among the gleeful shouts of children charging into them uninhibitedly?
Is it the pure white blanket of frozen snow covering the landscape to create sledding trails and armies of little ones playfully slinging snowballs with mittened hands?
Is it a new born baby gasping for air and snuggling tight in his mother's loving arms blissfully safe in the shadow of his father's smiling eyes?
Is it the amazing wonder in a toddler's face seeing fluffy white flakes magically descending in a graceful dance in the wintry sky?
Is it the proud look of triumph when a child scores his first goal in an intense physical battle against his Daddy's failing defenses?
Is it the shy look of a timid little boy wanting desperately to be noticed by the little girl with the long golden braids just screaming to be pulled?
Is it the glint in a young maiden's eyes as she charms the boy she has set her mind and heart upon and successfully wins a hesitant smile?
Is it the glazed look of happiness shared in the eyes of two sweethearts walking hand in hand along the sandy beach in the twilight hours of the evening?
Is it the joyful sadness clearly etched on a grown man's face as he sees his little girl dressed all in white and eager to begin a whole new life?
Is it the pure delight brought by Grandma's cookies and milk or the wondrous adventures heard sitting on Grandpa's lap?
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven... He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1,11a)
