Topic: Search Engine (10/06/11)
Diligently and thoroughly the ants scout my floor.
Carefully they carry the food that they’ve found; it’s a prize for their home nest.
Even Solomon admired the ant for their wisdom.
I admire them for their unity.

Brilliantly colored and audibly humming she flies this way and that.
The wonderful hummingbird searches for nectar and insects.
She is the smallest of birds to be found in my garden,
and eats her food with her tongue.

High in the sky, and so mighty in flight, is the magnificent eagle.
She soars high above valleys and rich yielding forests.
Her vision is perfect. She is searching for prey.
Unwitting victims are soon snatched away in a merciless grip.

Man searches for God and God searches man.
We search with our eyes, and we search with our minds.
God who made the world and everything in it, searches our hearts and knows our thoughts.
If a man searches for God he will be found by Him.

"The LORD searches the heart and examines the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve". Jeremiah 17:10

Sweet, short and compelling. I enjoyed this story, and like the imaginative way of presenting the "topic" -

This was really lovely. I enjoyed the beautiful pictures you painted, however I you may rate low with the judges on the topic criteria. In the message boards the topics are clarified. They were quite clear that they were looking for a computer search. With that said I have to give you kudos for your creativity. Others who went the noncomputer route used God or the Bible as the search engine. I've only read one other story where someone wrote about a different type. This shows that you have a great imagination and a lot of talent!

I am so thankful for the message in your fourth stanza. Your first three stanzas are a tribute to God's creation and then the fourth stanza crowns them all. You've cited a wonderful verse.
