Life always has a way of throwing something your way that will shake you up to throw you off guard in order for you to realize what matters the most in our lives. In a 24 hour period a love one can die. Numerous people are left jobless and homeless. A baby dies or a senseless murder is committed.
“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. James 4:14.” This life has not guarantees; we are left with unanswered questions of why things happen so unexpectedly. These situations leave us feeling lost and without hope. Only through God our lives have meaning and hope. His love makes everything all right.
We know that through life’s ups and downs we can lean on God for strength and peace to overcome the circumstances and misunderstandings we face each day. We have to trust and believe that God works through our day to let us know that He loves us and is with us through everything we encounter we just have to put everything in God’s hands and know that He will make everything all right in the end.
What matters to you in your life; your career, your money, your house, all your material things? What are you holding onto that you need to let go? Life is too short to keep anger and resentment bottled up on the inside. We need to embrace the people that we love the most; tell them how much we love them every day because we are here only for a short time and you will never again get to say I Love you once your are gone. Don’t leave this world with things left undone.
