In our hearts we knew that God had a purpose for us there.
Together we’d complete our tasks with some mountains for to climb.
We didn’t even have a clue to these happenings I will share.
It was at lunch when we came back that gloom was all around.
While we were gone, a meeting held and people were let go.
But what surprised us most of all was the news that made hearts pound.
That both of us were in that group; a heart shot with a bow.
We know that this would be Gods will; His work through us was done.
He has another task in store and we’ll wait upon His will.
We shook the hands of management and thanked them for this run.
We now pray that this company will make it up this hill.
We worked each day giving God the glory, but respecting each ones place.
We sought not to offend those rebelling against the Lord.
But others were responsive to the forgiveness of Christ’s grace.
We’ll see them up in Heaven praising God in one accord.
We went home when this was done with human hearts so frail.
A little scared of how we’ll live and how we’ll eat each day.
But the Holy Spirit picked us up and gave us wind in sail.
And in our hearts encouraged us to hold our hands and pray.
Dear Father, we both come to You as we do most every night.
Our pain, our tears, our sorrows, we lay them at Your feet.
You know more than anyone, the seriousness of our plight.
But with Your Hope inside us, we will rise above the heat.
So now we sit in limbo; for how long we don’t know.
We look into Your Holy Word, for answers from above.
We thank You for the seeds we’ve sown and that they now will grow.
Then spread to others all around, showing of Your love.
We’ll give it now the weekend before we make a move.
With prayer and reading Scripture, we’ll seek Your open door.
For all of life is hopeless if we’re not walking in Your groove.
We hear Your Spirit saying, “OHHH…there’s so much more.”

A few things to work on: some of your possessives lacked an apostrophe, and the meter could be a tad more regular.
Minor tweaks only--thank you so much for this poem.
