Buried deep, deep inside
No confessions, no revealed truths,
I can't let anyone know
So I take the dare
Refusing truth, I play with care.
One strange request, one oddity
I hide the truths that are mine
Each dare grows bolder,
As we grow older,
More far reaching dares
More stupidity abounds.
But still no one can know
I refuse to let it show,
And so I take the stupid dare,
And kiss a boy I loathe.
Its all a part of the game
Each time it feels the same
All taking risks, all trying to hide
The secret life of me.
But then we figure out
What its all about.
We attack each other with the knowledge
That we can manipulate the game
I dare you to tell the truth we dare,
Not seeing pain, nor did we care.
Its a harsh game, a stupid game we play,
But we want to make the playing field level.
Toilet water, or lick my shoe,
Do this, it's not all about you.
So we push each other further every time we play.
Expanding boundaries, pushing the envelope.
Truth or dare, that final taunt,
Lives inside, to still haunt
Every waking moment....
