Gambling for glory!
But this is only the beginning.
Cruel ties and taunts, proud and defiant
boastfully cried by one self-reliant…
An unending stream of provocation
tempting men to fearful speculation.
The urging and goading was challenging.
Thus no one even dreamed of venturing.
A risky wager, the stakes were extreme!
An ultimatum, heard by a small stream,
but was also heard by another who
was shocked! He alone recalled what was true:
His candid command of reality
allowed him to see the facts honestly.
Intelligent eyes and an upright stance,
he was sure the end was not left to chance.
For the victory is a certainty
when fighting for divine royalty!
Accurate aim and an exacting flight
By a smooth round stone sealed the giant’s plight.
We finally now reach the ending…
Much more than a tall tale:
Worldly dares? They did fail
while the truth did prevail!
