and afraid
and unable to move, from the dread?
What do you do, when you're
trapped in a tomb
from your fears pressing down,
on your head?
Anxieties swirl round and round,
like a wind,
and they just will not hurry away.
You yell at them, scream at them
tell them to leave
but the nightmares continue to stay.
Do you hide, all your life, in a
desolate cave
and refuse to come out, in the light?
Does your attitude say "I can't
do this right now
so I'll just stay right here
in the night."?
Well, that's how I felt
in a number of ways
in my ignarant dark sunful trap.
My heart was continually
seeking some joy
that would transport me out of this gap
The answer did come in a stillness
one day,
while delighting in reading
God's Word.
If I bathe in God's love,
then it casts out all fear
and then negative things won't
be heard!
When I stepped out in faith,
in adventurous ways
and discovered I didn't need to hide-
Oh, the freedom I had to run
into His arms,
and to feel the joy He provides!
Like a bird, I was flying
away from that cave
that had paralized my fearful heart.
My new hiding place
was the King of all Kings
who seeks only to give a fresh start!
"You are my hiding place;
You will protect me from trouble
and surround me
with songs of deliverance."
Psalm 32:7 NIV

Loved that part.
Good work!
May God bless.
