Topic: Thanksgiving (04/18/05)
My brother was in a serious car accident. He was in the hospital for several weeks. Little by little, day by day, he seemed to only be slipping away. My heart kept on sinking, my fingers went numb, I walked around crying, with my head hung. The part of his brain, that was effected the most, was his personality, but I didn't know. He finally came home, it was thankgiving for all, because my brother is still alive, my brother new and tall.

Courtney, I'm rejoicing with you for your brother being "new and tall." Unfortunately, I also have to tell you that we had to disqualify your entry because it was under the minimum word count allowed. All challenge entries have to be within 150 and 750 words. Your poem came in at just 83 words, so was way too far under. I'm so sorry. But please don't be discouraged. I hope you'll jump into the Challenge again - just keep the word count limits in mind when you write. With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
