Aholiab! Aholiab! Where are you? You must come now! Moses has sent for us! Bezalel was shouting as he ran…Moses was calling for them and he must find his friend and get to Moses right away! Moses himself the leader of all Israel was asking for him and Aholiab. It must have something to do with the wonderful experience he had had early this morning.
He had thought he had been sleeping but it had all seemed so real. He was hearing the Wind of the Spirit moving through his tent, and it swept over him and he could actually feel the Wind in his hair and it seemed to flow through his brain. It was as if suddenly he knew he could do all the things he had only dreamed of doing. Drawing, sewing crafting silver, working in precious stones…all he things he dreamed one day doing….he suddenly had ideas, and knew ways to do and build and and….oh where in the world was Aholiab? They must hurry!
Suddenly around the corner of the tent came Aholiab, running and shouting Bezalel. Bezalel! They almost crashed into each other…and were babbling to each other at the same time. Moses has sent for us we must hurry, we can’t keep him waiting!….What do you think he wants….and then they slowed down and realized they had of one accord turned and were walking toward Moses’ tent. Bazalel suddenly blurted out ….”Did you sleep well? Did you hear the wind?” Aholiab stared at him a strange look of wonder on his face…”Did you hear it too? I t thought I was dreaming, was it really real?” I have ideas about crafting that I’ve never had before.”
Each man walked on in wonder, musing upon the happenings of the pre-dawn happening and now after such a night they were called to meet with Moses. What could it all mean? There was an excitement in the air there was no doubt about it…now they were going to meet with Moses and get to see up close his face…and the shine that was there after he had met with God on the mountain….Wonder of wonders, could Yahweh have given them the dream, and this sudden understanding they were sharing about crafting the silver and gold and jewels and sewing, and even embroidery.
Now here they were in Moses’ tent and Moses was speaking to them. “While on the mountain with Jehovah he gave me the pattern to build a tabernacle for worship. Yahweh told me He had given to you Bezalel, son of Uri, from the tribe of Judah, the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and understanding, in knowledge and in all manner of workmanship to
design artistic works to work in gold silver and bronze…in cutting jewels for setting in carving wood and to work all manner of craftsmanship and of you Aholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan were appointed with him and you shall have all the gifted artisans to work with you…Only you must make it as I have commanded you.” On and on Moses talked and told them of what the LORD had said…They listened with awe at all that Jehovah had shown Moses.
Finally as the sun was going down the two friends walked back toward their camps…One toward Praise (Judah), the other toward God has Judged (Dan). What wonder they held inside themselves realizing their pre-dawn experience had indeed been real and what’s more it had been Yahweh Himself blowing across their minds and hearts, that he desired to use them to bless Himself...Praise His Name Forever!
Praise be to God who has judged us to be worthy to prepare a place of worship for His presence and glory then has shown us the way to accomplish it!
