Adam came to intervene. Although, Adam has been given the responsibility of the garden. The problem is against eating the fruit (Genesis 2: 16-17) God has given Adam a warning before, to obey His will not to eat the fruit. As the head, he supposes to guide and protect his wife Eve, from going towards the forbidden fruit. It was Adam spiritual responsibilities. Many people will say the woman caused it, no way! I wonder what Adam was doing while Eve is deceived. The Bible did not say Adam went out that time, what I believe is that Adam was there with Eve when Satan convinced her and lead her to eat the forbidden fruit.
The Bible says in Genesis 3: 6 “when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. Did you hear that? The bible says “to her husband with her” Adam supposes to take charge spiritually, and protect the woman. He did not accept the spiritual responsibilities. The same way men have a fallen nature to accept their responsibilities.
What is happening to men today came from Adam. When you look at leadership in Church, the same things happen. But now thank God for the second Adam –Jesus Christ! Who stood to face the evil days and conquer? He walks in the spirit that is why he was able to conquer Satan. The temptation of Jesus in Luke 4: 4 is the same temptation Adam and Eve faced in the Garden of Eden. The last word…. is that: Jesus humble Himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on the cross.
