How they push each other off!
I’m not made of metal
So how will I fare
In this world of steel
That doesn’t know to care?
I lost my step with time
As ticking it went on.
Now, here I lay
In the gears society
Purchased for a price
So far below any.
The works of time
Will strike their final hour.
Our world’s machinery
Will crumple into dust,
But love shall remain
When all else is lost.
