Jesus is Waiting 9/2/08
Oh, where would I be without You, Lord?
What trouble would I be heading toward?
You are the One I bring my pain to,
I come as only a pauper to You.
When I'm feeling frail and so worn down,
I look to You to bring me around.
I come and sit and weep at Your feet,
For Your holy touch on my cheek, so sweet.
No other can bring Your deep relief,
In that, I'm so sure of my belief.
Your hand so steady on the bow of love,
Your breath on my neck, as soft as a dove.
The Lord of the universe seems to be,
Giving all of His attention to me.
Never too busy to meet my needs,
He tends my garden and pulls the weeds.
Oh lost and lonely world, can't you see,
That this is the Master, only He?
When you've come up empty-handed and bare,
You've not seen the One Who's standing there.
Jesus is waiting for you by your side,
To take away your sins and to guide.
You will never regret this one choice,
When you hear the Savior's merciful voice.
