“I am alone.” whispers the child,
who has no one to turn to.
She cries and reaches out in the night,
But there is no one there to give her comfort.
“I am scared.” she says nervously,
trembling under the covers.
She cowers under her pillows,
but again, there is no one to say that everything will be alright.
“Doesn’t anyone care!!!!” screams the girl, angrily at the world,
still, there was no one there to answers her pleas or hear her cries.
The girl is angry, scared, confused and alone,
but still no one reaches out.
The child begins to weep softly,
“Is there no one that loves me?”
Jesus, looking on from Heaven begins speaking tenderly.
“Oh, my beloved.
You are not alone; I am here- reach out for me.
Do not be afraid, precious child.
I will give to you the strength that you need when you are weak.
Just reach out for me- I am here.
I care for you, when you think that no one else does.
Please, just reach out for me.
I love you, when you think that you have no one that does.”
Jesus reaches down, but the child does not know to reach for Him.
Jesus begins to weep.
“Why do my children ignore this one?
How can she possibly know me if no one ever wants to introduce us?
Perhaps I will choose one of my children to reach out and remember the feelings that they had before we meet.
How they longed for answers, how they cried out for comfort, how they thought that they were all alone and that no one understood or cared for them.
I shall choose you!!!!!
Do you know this one child?
The precious misunderstood one that everyone has deemed the “trouble-maker” or the one to be wary of if you have a son?
The one that everyone thinks will never amount to anything in life?
The one that everyone sees dressed in tight, revealing clothing because she has not had guidance from anyone but the world and made wrong choices?
The one that everyone has nicknamed “slow or dumb” because my Father made them extra special in His eyes?
Do you know these ones in which I speak of?
Have you seen them passing by or do you even stop to pay attention anymore?
Open your eyes my child and recall what it was like to not know me.
Do you remember those days?
Do you remember when you cried out to me, for you could not handle this world alone anymore?
What did I do?
Did I turn you away, look away in shame or ignore you?
No!
I sent to you that one special, chosen child that told you about me.
They explained how much they loved me and how I loved them unconditionally.
They told you that they loved you and I did too.
They said that you could be freed from the chains that bind you so tightly.
And that day, that day that you were set free.
Do you remember that day?
You cried to me and I wiped away your tears.
You clung to me and I held you in my arms.
You praised me and I was glorified.
You relied on me for everything and I provided to you what you needed.
My precious child, what has happened since that day?
You go through life each day just living to survive.
When all that you need to do, is just to deny.
Deny yourself and what you want in life.
Deny your pride and recall when you depended on me for everything.
Deny your ego and realize that without me you are nothing.
Deny your selfishness and go out and share me with others.
Deny what you want right now and remember me.
Oh my child, my precious child.
I am here when the world lets you down, you are not ever alone.
I am here when you realize that you can do nothing without me.
I am here for you when again you dry your tears.
And I was there, when you didn’t care and were introduced to me.
I have been there all along, but you just did not see me.”
A young mother gazes down intently into the weeping eyes of her daughter and remembers.
She remembers so well, the fear that once controlled her every thought and life.
She remembers being let down time and time again.
She remembers the pain and anguish that her heart felt.
She remembers that day, that special day that he came into her life.
That day her life was changed forever.
She remembers back to the promises that she made and began to weep with her daughter.
She smiles and lovingly says, remember this always…
“I am not alone!!”
“I have nothing to fear!!!”
“Jesus cares and died for me.”
“Jesus loves me no matter what.” says the child joyfully.
