Until We Go to Glory 5/28/08
You save man from himself,
And You are all his wealth,
You are the Savior, Jesus,
Who leaves us all as blameless.
We rarely know Your worth,
Until our souls so hurt,
We turn to You in dire straits,
Where Your loving smile awaits.
To know You in everything,
To the heart and soul does bring,
That inescapable joy,
That only You can employ,
When You are dearer to us,
Than anything we can touch,
Our daily round seems lighter,
And our smiles so much brighter,
Because You have brought us
The Living Water, ageless,
The Bread of Life, to feed us,
Your blood has bought us cleanness.
That One Man could bring so much,
With His Holy, sinless touch,
Is a present from above
From only God, Who is Love,
That He sent His only Son,
For a job which has been done,
To save us from our sins,
And there the story begins.
With the shedding of His blood,
He brought us back to our God,
For all our days to be
Within that sanctity,
And when our days on earth are done,
We will return to the Son,
Who for a huge price has bought
All of us out of naught.
To Him we give our praise,
For the length of our days,
Until we go to glory,
His sweet, sweet face to see.
