My Last Breath 3/30/08
My last breath I offer up to Thee,
If only all the world would see
That You are Savior, King, and all,
And answer finally Your call.
For this my soul bleeds through the years,
For what You suffer, all Your tears,
To see Your Creation blindly go,
Their seeds of wickedness to sow.
When Your heart grieves, mine does also,
So much I want this world to know
The dear, sweet love of Jesus Christ,
That I can't put it out of sight.
I may be only one among
A small percent of chosen ones,
Who with their life will now defend
The One on Whom their life depends.
But "onward soldiers" we must go,
However fast or ever slow,
To feed His sheep as He told us to,
Within His power, all to do.
We have no option, at this point,
Because He has said, "to anoint."
So we must carry on His plan
to each and every woman, man.
Our banner we must carry high,
To reach in sight of every eye.
We are the only ones who can do
What Jesus wants: spread The Good News.
